So what did we do today ? Late start after our disruption last night, we headed straight to Central Park. Well kind of, off the ferry, on the NY Waterway bus which dropped us at 57th street, the plan was to walk to CP and then have a carriage ride. Lucky us, Colm (the driver) was heading back and offered to drive us from where we were at Columbus Circle and into Central Park.
So we hopped on, had a wonderful ride and stopped near Literary Walk. Breakfast was hot dogs and pretzels as we strolled down Literary Walk in the general direction of the American Museum of Natural History.
Well we strolled off course so ended up taking two pedicabs to the museum. Our riders were from Serbia and Belarus and they deserved every penny of the fare - the cycling was hard, uphill and we weren't the lightest passengers !
The museum was brilliant, saw most of the cast of
Night at The Museum - Dexter, Gum-Gum, Rexie, Teddy, sadly Sacagawea (according to the day guard :wink: :wink:) was away in Vegas on a book signing tour.
After the museum we headed back to Times Square for some lunch at Planet Hollywood - very yummy BBQ Spare Ribs.
This was followed by a spot of souvenir shopping and then we headed back to the hotel.
Last day in New York City didn't disappoint, again ... fabulous.
