André is once again at the Bahrain 10's this weekend. The girls and I joined him there yesterday for a bit of swimming before the tournament kicked off.
But ....after getting home close to midnight last night we decided to send him on his merry way today. He left earlyish and will be back early evening.
We're just relaxing at home, mom trying to catch up with news on the blog and then of course it'll be getting ready for school tomorrow.
And here we have the Khobar Quins, winners of the plate final in The 2007 Bahrain Duty Free 10's Tournament.
Sadly no photos of my darling reffing as well last night was too dark and I wasn't there today, next time.
This is where we "hope" to keep you updated on 'us' both with text and photos, we'll see how it goes :)

Eid Mubarak
A nice 9 day holiday to spend time together, Eid Mubarak everyone.
Eid started Thursday 11 October and we spent many a day at the movies (now that we could enjoy popcorn while watching hehehe) so this post will be a bit of a movie review posting.
After each movie we would rate the movie one to five stars and then average the scores out....
Underdog -

Ratatouille -

Nancy Drew -

And then well there were the movies at home (many of which we had seen at the movies previously), some some of the ones watched :
High School Musical 2

Surf's Up -

How to Eat Fried Worms -

Other than the movies, well the adults did have some work to do and whenever possible, the girls enjoyed the trampoline, and then there was always rugby to fall back on heheheh

Bahrain 10's
Andre spent the previous weekend in Bahrain.
First at a conference and then for the rugby. We - the girls and I, weren't able to go as my passport was still in Riyadh for my Greek visa :( This unfortunately meant we saw him for barely 6 hours from Wednesday to Friday evening. The Midnight 10's was apparently really good, the Al Khobar team walked away with 1st place so of course they all came back exhausted but very chuffed.
They have a celebratory family braai planned for this weekend - I will be in Greece though so Andre and the girls will go and have a bite and fun at the pool with the rest of the team.

Photos on Andre's machine and considering he is in Yanbu again, they'll have to wait cos I know he'll never get them uploaded from his side hehehe

a sporting week
Hello everybody :) I know I know its been a while, hey the last post explained it, life she is a busy business.
Well the last week or so has had sport as a highlight for most of us.
André got to go to the F1 testing in Bahrain last Saturday. Hehehe, I called to see how his day was going and to check if he'd gotten to the track .... didn't need to ask the question though, as soon as he answered the phone, a car went past, we had to wait a minute before we could hear anything hehehe very cool ! of course nothing can top seeing Schumi up close, driving in and winning the first Bahrain Grand Prix but cool nonetheless.
Every year our school gets invited to participate in a sports day with the British school on campus. Not anything like our sports days back home. Fun races, everyone participates in at least one.
Lucy's was on Sunday and Aimee's on Monday. Both were very chuffed that dad made it to school to watch - stick-in-the-mud wouldn't take part in any of the parent races though hehehe excuse was that he was taking photos :)
Mom couldn't make it as she was teaching big kids, girls didn't seem to mind though, dad was there !
And finally, well rugby, its Super 14 and even though The Sharks had a bye this last weekend, there are plenty other teams to watch :)
That's us for now then, weekend is done, Survivor Fiji about to start as well as the Cheetahs vs Waikato Chiefs game. Have a good one til we pass this way again :)
