The rain in Spain stays ......

Rain is Spain, try rain in Saudi Arabia - yes it rains in the desert too :)
Just not as often as some other places hehehe

So while Andrè was away in Yanbu, I said I got the Christmas decorations up : Here are the girls enjoying a candlight dinner.

Andrè got back from Yanbu end of the week :) And we headed to Bahrain for some pork and shopping (on Thursday anyway). Back home on Friday ... we woke to rain rain rain :)

These are photos of us heading for school on Saturday morning. As you can see because rain is not that common, inadequate stormwater drains ARE common. Hey results in rain being a whole lot of fun though.

Yes thats the road, not a river although easy mistake.
This poor little concrete mixer abandoned :(
So it rained all day Saturday and a little on Sunday but the rest of the week was dry :(

Wednesday was no school - well for the kids anyway. Girls had a ball at Wilde Gang while mom was in our district teacher conference. Fabulous speaker Debbie Silver from the US ! Even tried some line dancing, yes Tracy, probably the least coordinated person you know did an hour of line dancing hehehe thought the group needed a good laugh.

Thursday was back to Bahrain, Santa on his way soon and mom and dad had some last minute shopping etc. to do. And well having some more pork never hurt anyone :)

So we woke up to another rainy day today :)
Andrè left for Rabigh for the week :( So there is no interenet or satellite TV til December 9 for our boy - I'b be out of my mind waaaayyyy before then !

Only two more weeks to go before the Winter Break - better known to some as our Christmas Holiday hehehe Will be home (RSA) from December 14 - January 1, spending two days in Dubai on the way back before school starts on January 6 again.
Wow this year is really flying !

Wow, when I think of Saudi, I don't think of pictures like this, but then I suppose it has to rain sometime everwhere. I must say we are all jealous of you being back in RSA for christmas, its been 13 months now since I was there and 30 months since Emily & the kids were there. I love the photo of my little nieces with the umbrella's, Aimee is looking all so grown up and Lucy is just too cute.
